benefits Summary

Vacation leave accrual starts at 9.375 hours per month (equivalent to 15 days per year) and increases with years of service up to 18.75 hours per month (equivalent to 30 days per year) after 28 years. Employees receive a one-time 37.5 hours (5 days) vacation credit after their second anniversary. Sick leave accrues at 9.375 hours per month, with shift workers earning an additional 1.25 hours per month under certain conditions. Bereavement leave provides seven consecutive calendar days for immediate family members, with additional days for travel and specific provisions for stillbirth. Pregnancy/maternity leave without pay is up to 18 weeks, extendable up to 52 weeks in certain cases, with a pregnancy/maternity allowance topping up Employment Insurance benefits to 93% of weekly pay for eligible employees. Parental leave without pay is available for up to 37 or 63 weeks, with parental allowance topping up EI benefits to 93% (standard) or 55.8% (extended) of weekly pay. compensation Summary

Annual salary rates for levels IT-01 to IT-05 range from approximately $60,696 to $174,076 depending on level and step as of December 22, 2024. Salary increases are scheduled annually on December 22 for 2021 through 2024, with compounded increases including economic and pay line adjustments totaling approximately 11.8% to 12.9% over the term. Overtime for IT-01 to IT-04 employees is paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate for the first 7.5 overtime hours and double time thereafter on normal workdays, days of rest, and designated holidays, with specific provisions for consecutive days of rest and holidays. Shift premiums of $2.25 per hour apply for hours worked between 16:00 and 08:00, and weekend premiums of $2.25 per hour apply for work on Saturdays and Sundays. Meal allowances of $12.00 are provided for overtime exceeding three hours. Call-back pay guarantees a minimum of three hours at applicable overtime rates. Standby duty is compensated at half an hour's pay for every four-hour period on standby. Acting pay applies after three consecutive working days in a higher classification. Pay increments occur every 12 months.
