benefits Summary

Benefits include: 45 hours of paid sick/family leave per year (pro-rated for part-time), with unused hours carried over up to 90 hours; maternity leave (up to 20 weeks unpaid), parental leave (up to 65 weeks unpaid), paternity leave (5 weeks unpaid), and preventive withdrawal for pregnancy; paid bereavement leave (up to 5 days), jury duty leave, moving leave (1 unpaid day per year), accident leave (paid for up to 14 days, then by CNESST), marriage leave (2 paid days), and self-financed leave (2-12 months after 3 years of service). Group insurance is provided after 6 months of continuous service, covering life, dependent life, health, long-term disability, dental, and vision. The employer and employees share the cost equally. A group RRSP is available, with a minimum 2% employee contribution matched by a 4% employer contribution. Employees receive up to $265 per year for sports activities or equipment. Free access to the Fort St-Jean sports center is provided for employees.

compensation Summary

Salary scales for various positions are detailed in Annex A, effective from the date of signature until 2027, with annual increases as follows: 8.5% at signature, 2.25% on July 1, 2024, 2.25% on July 1, 2025, 2.5% on July 1, 2026, and 2.0% on July 1, 2027. A signature bonus of $1,500 is paid to each permanent employee at the time of signing. Overtime is paid at one and a half times the regular hourly rate. Pay is administered by direct deposit every two weeks. Temporary employees are paid according to the salary scale in Annex A and receive benefits related to holidays and vacation as per the Canada Labour Code. The agreement was signed on December 14, 2023, and is effective from the date of signature until March 31, 2028. The agreement is governed by the Canada Labour Code.
