Ornge Air

- Pension: Defined Contribution (DC) plan with employee contributions (6.9% up to YMPE, 9.2% above YMPE) and employer contributions at 126% of employee's amount, mirroring HOOPP rates. - Health, dental, and life insurance: Company pays group insurance except Long Term Disability (LTD). New benefits plan implemented August 16, 2019, with special transition for two employees. - Vacation: Prorated in first year; 15 shifts after 1 year, 18 after 5 years, 21 after 10 years, 25 after 13 years (8-hour shift equivalent; varies by shift length). - Sick leave: 1 shift/month to max 10; unused days go to Short Term Disability Bank. STD covers up to 6 months (bank + insurance). LTD available after STD. - Personal days: 5 per year after 3 months (3 paid, 2 unpaid). - General holidays: 12 listed holidays, paid at regular rate; special pay rules for on-call and worked holidays. - Other: Moving/relocation expenses, compassionate/religious/military leave, medical exam confidentiality, and reimbursement for required licenses and travel documents.

- Wage scales for Apprentices and Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs) are detailed in Appendix A, with annual increases from 2024 to 2026. For example, AME Step 1: $70,716.17 (2024), $72,837.66 (2025), $75,022.79 (2026). - Apprentices with a license but not yet assigned to an AME position are placed at Step D ($59,151.53 in 2024). - Monthly stipends for authority types (PC12, S76, AW139, E-Category, S-Category) are $1,690.52 in 2024, increasing annually. - Duty allowances (2024): Base Engineer $919.30, Base Safety AME $386.26, Lead Hand $437.76. - Long-term service recognition: $25/month (5 years), $50 (10), $125 (15), $225 (20), $325 (25), $425 (30+), not cumulative. - Overtime is paid at 1.5x regular rate; call-in and on-call pay are specified (e.g., on-call at 0.2x regular rate per hour). - Overtime can be banked (max 84-90 hours depending on shift). - Premiums: $100 for working Christmas/New Year's Day, $50 for other holidays if on-call and activated. - Severance: 4 weeks' regular pay per year of service, up to 6 months max.

This collective agreement is between Ornge Air (Ornge Global Air, 7506406 Canada Inc.) and the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU), AFL-CIO & CLC. It covers Aircraft Maintenance Engineers, apprentice engineers, and avionics technicians in the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Division. The agreement is effective from April 1, 2023, to March 31, 2026, and will continue year-to-year unless either party gives notice within 90 days of expiry.
